What's New in this Version
Minor enhancement release, including support for Windows Server 2008. New FSO's file format support for Microsoft Office 2007 including OOXML metadata extraction
for docx, dotx, docm, xlsx, xlsm, xltx, pptx, pptm, potx, & ppsx. Also new file format support for Open Office. Enhancements to the Archive Wizard and functionality,
including Archive item count, size total, archive date & time, job description, and job name. Additional Retention Wizard functionality includes Retention enhancement
adding item count, size total, retention date with calendar input.
A number of UI Usability enhancements were made in the release as well. Major performance enhancements over v7.0 include 200% faster query results. Persistent discovery
has replaced the UDP broadcast based discovery mechanism used in v7.0 and prior releases. A server may now have enhanced security: there are two permissions,
Private Server and eDiscovery searching. There are also hundreds of field fixes along with general bug fixes.
